To reproduce:
try creating a repo with the following description: "Helas, ca va echouer", with an acute accent on the first and second e and a cedilla on the c.
Creating the repo fails with:
Sorry.. your POST request to /init failed.

Perhaps the repo name was meant. I see the problem if I create a repo named
éhere.
