should one expect to get the full repo here? that is the default with services such as github I believe.
In Github "download zip" does the same: it builds a .zip with the latest working copy.
fair enough. is the option to get the full repo by *.zip desirable?
I'm not sure; if you want the full repo it's because you want to inspect it with darcs right? But if you have darcs, then you can clone it as well.
