Simplified Arensito for ANSI keyboard layout
root
Introduction
A simplified Arensito for ANSI keyboards, based on HÃ¥kon Hallingstad's Arensito keyboard layout and inspired by other simplified versions.
The Layout
The layout is split into three levels / layers:
- Level 1 - Base layer
[BSp] q l , p ' ~ f u d k
[TAB] a r e n b g s i t o / [Enter]
[Shf] z w . h j v c y m x [Shf]
[C][A][ AltGr / Sp ][Sp][C]
- Level 2 - Shift layer
[BSp] Q L ? P " ` F U D K
[TAB] A R E N B G S I T O / [Enter]
[Shf] Z W ! H J V C Y M X [Shf]
[C][A][ AltGr / Sp ][Sp][C]
- Level 3 - AltGr layer
[BSp] { } [ ] ' ~ _ < > $
[TAB] ; / - 0 : \ 1 ( ) = [Enter]
[Shf] 6 7 8 9 + * 2 3 4 5 [Shf]
[C][A][ AltGr / Sp ][Sp][C]
As you can see, it is mostly faithful to the original arensito-kinesis
version, with some liberties: - CAPSLOCK
is activated by pressing both Shift
keys, - Right Alt
is Space
, - Allows for number row remapping to Function / Mod / shortcut keys, - Easy transition due to unchanged number (and symbols) row.
Note: On Windows, the spacebar can still be used, however you will notice a delay as it is awaiting the next combo key in the sequence. Recommend getting used to pressing RAlt
as the Space
key.
Installation
Windows
Requires AutoHotKey v2.
